I am writing to urge you to vote NO on any legislation that would extend enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies without addressing the real drivers of rising health care costs. Extending these subsidies does not fix what is broken in our health care system. Instead, it asks taxpayers to spend billions more while costs continue to rise, choices shrink, and accountability disappears. Temporary subsidies may look like action, but they only mask deeper problems and delay real solutions.
I have seen what happens when Washington promises better health care but delivers bureaucracy, delays, and red tape. Government-run health care too often fails the people it claims to help—patients, families, veterans, and taxpayers alike.
Rather than doubling down on expensive stopgap measures, Congress should focus on real reforms that:
* Put patients first
* Expand access and choice
* Increase transparency and accountability
* Make health care truly affordable for American families
I respectfully ask you to oppose any bill that extends ACA premium tax credits without meaningful reform and instead work toward solutions that strengthen our health care system—not just its price tag.
