In June 2018, the VA MISSION Act was signed into law. This legislation overhauls the Department of Veterans Affairs health care system and gives veterans more access to care outside the VA.

The law is comprehensive, touching on a variety of health care policies and procedures that matter to veterans. Yet it’s hard to navigate all the complexities of a given piece of legislation, especially one as detailed as the VA MISSION ACT.
